The crazy treats on offer at Wangfujing are
notorious. When people ask me if I’ve ever eaten things like scorpions or cats
in China, I would often dismiss them for their ignorant views on China. But
now, after having seen the weird and wacky delights on offer at the Wangfujin Food Street in Beijing, their questions
don’t seem so far fetched anymore. In a moment of ♯YOLO Carpe
Diem, I opted for a more pescetarian-friendly treat – a skewer of
deep-fried seahorse!
